Mac and cheese is one of my son’s favorite foods. What I didn’t know was that there are harmful chemicals in Kraft’s mac and cheese.
Kraft is America’s biggest cheese brand. But some Kraft cheese products contain toxic chemicals called phthalates (Thal-eights). Testing found phthalates in 30 cheese products including Kraft macaroni and cheese. These chemicals do the most harm in pregnant women and young children. Prenatal exposures to phthalates are linked to learning disabilities, attention and behavior problems, and birth defects.
Some phthalates have been proven to be so harmful that they are already banned in children’s products in the United States and in Europe. Parents should never have to wonder: “Are there phthalates in this bowl of mac n’ cheese?”
Please join us and tell Kraft to get rid of harmful chemicals in their cheese. No cheese should contain these toxic chemicals that threaten the health of kids and families. Please sign our petition now!
